What to plant diagram
Hello all,
I would like to know if anyone can point me to a diagram of what plants to put in my shiny new sfg. It seems like I have seen one somewhere but for the life of me I am having no luck finding one. I have googled but came up empty handed.
thx,

Re: What to plant diagram
Hi there, wah, welcome to the forum and to SFG!
When you say, a diagram, what exactly do you mean? We need a little more information to be able to better help you.
Everyone plants different things depending on their climate and what they like to eat and/or look at. I would suggest considering what vegetables/herbs you already enjoy and buy on a regular basis, and start there... and maybe add in a few flowers if that appeals to you.
Welcome, and happy gardening!

What to plant diagram
Hey thanks for the quick reply. Actually, what I am looking for is a typical planting layout that maybe others have used to achieve the best results. For example, do you plant tomatoes next to pole beans which are next to carrots, etc. It may not make any difference but since I am totally new at this I thought I would ask. And I know that I saw on some web site a picture diagram of suggested plantings. But if it really doesn't matter what one plants where, then I am off to the races.

Re: What to plant diagram
Sounds like you're talking about Companion Planting. There are lots of sites that will list what plants should be planted near other plants and so on. There are also a few threads discussing it here on the forum too.
Here's a good one with a couple of links:
