Happy pre-Spring!!
You know when spring is right around the corner when you can have the windows open to feel the nice warm/cool breeze. This is fabulous. I wish all my Southerners in my growin' zone a happy pre-Spring day!
And to all others I'll try to send some of this Mother Nature Spring dust your way, because this is truly awesome.
It's going to be a good St. Paddy's Day Shindig today at my house. Homemade dip extravaganza and a home made green velvet cake. Yum!

Here in cincy it's an overcast day but warm. I put my broccoli on the patio before leaving for work to help harden them off. Happy pre-Spring to you also.

Re: Happy pre-Spring!!
It feels like spring might just make it here eventually but the snowbanks are still taller than I am yet. Most of the streets are down to pavement now although it is wet during the day and very slippery in the morning when it is still freezing. No more flooding in the basement or garage at my house and the ground around the garage has thawed so the water is now draining away like it should. Waiting for the bus yesterday, I heard a bird singing it's little heart out, don't know what kind but I recognize it's song....it is one that only comes in spring on it's migratory path to somewhere else. It is here for a few weeks and then it is gone. When I hear that I know spring is not far away. SOOOO happy!

Re: Happy pre-Spring!!
OK, we got in the 50s and I opened a window for the fresh air and it was nice until it got later in the day and the temps dropped.
Then last nite it snowed. The ground is so pristine and white over the septic tank once again. We were showing some green lawn stretches here and there except for in the back yard where my garden grows. Its still covered in over a foot of snow there, darn it.

Happy pre-Spring to you, too!
We hit 82F on the 17th and haven't sniffed 39 degrees since for a low. It's been a wonderful 3 days. I think I'm finally noticing some growth in the veggies I have in the ground.
Here's to hoping Old Man Winter isn't saving up one last gasp.

I came home from vacation to some visible lawn (?) but the 10-day forecast has at least 2 more rounds of snow.....
