Hello everyone. I live in Murphy, TX (just east of Plano, northeast of Dallas). I am new to SFG, but I have been gardening for several years now with mediocre results. I look forward to trying Mel's method this year and hope to have more consistent results. It is good to see several Texans on the forum. I look forward to sharing notes with you as the year progresses.

Thanks,
Jason

Hello from Murphy, TX Empty Mel and Neil

I think between using Mel's method and Having Neil Sperry's Texas Garden Hour every Saturday morning on the AM Radio we outta be able to grow some pretty good stuff in our region huh? I'm right across the state line in New Mexico so I use whatever works for the Denver City and Seminole TX folks. Nice to meet ya.

Hi Jason,
I'm in Frisco. Welcome to SFG. Last year was my first try with Mel's method and I was impressed. Looking for even better results this year. How big is your garden?
I've got two raised beds. One is 2' x 15' x 1' and the other is 3' x 24' x 1'. The top 6 inches is Mel's Mix. The bottom is plain 'ol dirt amended with manure and compost.
