found pea sprouts outside today
Just for the heck of it, when i visited my son in Wilmington, NC (zone
at the end of Jan., I put some left over snap pea seeds in one of the 8x8 garden plots that we are not going to convert to sfg this spring. Came back this week for Grandaughter's birthday this weekend and checked out the peas. I found 2 green noses in spite of the the snow they had. Area is expecting a wintery mix overnight, but past few days were in the upper 40's to 50 so crazy me decided to plant another row of sugar snaps. Who knows what might actually sprout and grow. It gets hot here early and the garden shops alredy are selling lettuce and other early plants.
We started reclaiming 3 of the 8x8 plots for conversion and hope to build four 4x8 wicking boxes this weekend. Will do pictures when there is something to show.
