We got SNOW
Howdy Folks:
As with much of the middle to northern coast of the U.S. we got an unusual amount of snow. On top of my Table Top SFGs there was 10 inches of the white stuff. Real purty. The roads were a mess and many folks missed work. With the 4X4 I was able to make all of my shifts even if we did shut the store early one day. Christmas was wonderful and now that the snow is starting to melt one library reopened today so I can get back on the forum. We missed the forum and you guys so much!
God Bless, Ward and Mary

Hi Ward! So good to hear from you. Glad to hear you are safe, if all snowed in! We got nada here in Manassas aside from a whole lot of wind chill, brrr!
Re: We got SNOW
We got about 11.5 inches of snow the other day, but then it blew all over yesterday and today.

Does the yellow sign on right indicate a snow mobile crossing?

Been Slippery Here, Too!
About 4" of snow fell here in Central Va on Christmas day and the 26th.
Most everyone was able to manage the necessary driving by Monday morning, except me. Our driveway is straight up. DH moved his work vehicle to the neighbor's driveway before the snow got bad. Thank God for good neighbors!
I didn't move the van. I finally got it down the driveway late yesterday evening with white knuckles on the wheel. Poor son missed his track practice because we couldn't get out.
Did I mention I'm terrified of driving in the snow AND that we have a DEEP ditch beside our driveway?
The roads are clear. Just not our shady, steep driveway.
Glad everyone is safe. Also glad I don't live where you do camprn!
HURRY SPRING!!

YEEHAW!!!!
We have gotton somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-12 inches in the last 24 hours...I LOVE IT! Been out it it the last 5 hours, since I got off work at 1. Didn't wanna come home...but the hot chocolate was calling.
I have lived in California and Arizona my whole life....I wanted 4 seasons and now I got it!

LOL I guess 4X4 has more than one meaning? I had to read that sentence twice before "getting it". I kept trying to figure out what your garden had to do with making it to work. DUH! : )

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Re: We got SNOW
I measured 21" in my yard on Monday afternoon. The highways, byways, and driveways all over NJ are still trying to recover. Our 3 lane roads are either 2.5 or just 2 lanes and most side streets look more like foot paths.
I'm just glad I put the plywood over the top my boxes last week. I'd hate for all this snow to wash away next year's nutrients as it melts.
