I am putting together an updated version to the "Cash from Square Foot Gardening" Book. In order to make it more 'home' feeling, I'd like to add tons of pictures from our SFG'ers (instead of just standard stock pictures). Could you post something asking anyone who has some good images of their SFG (specially if they are doing Cash gardens) to email me their BEST pictures (or links to pictures) of their SFG's? Let me know they pictures will be considered for being published in our book. We don't have the funds to pay people for them, but I'd love to put a little note at the bottom of each picture saying where and who it's from. This is a chance to get your SFG published in an internationally selling book! I've got a two week deadline for selecting pictures, so I need them quick. They can email them to: alan@squarefootgardening.com
Remember that by sending me pictures, they authorize me to use them for the book under a creative commons attribution license. Thanks. Alan
So get those SD cards out and start sifting through your photos and get them to Alan ASAP! GOOD LUCK!

Re: ATTENTION SFGer's: WE NEED YOUR SFG PHOTOS!!!!
I gave Alan access to all my photos and pointed out a few of my favorites. I don't know if he'll be able to use them (if selected) as the resolution isn't great.

Mine are "negative cash" gardens
But Alan's welcome to anything posted on my SFG photobucket account

Thank you, acara!
Anyone wanting to submit should please use the email address for Alan which Jennie posted above. Alan emailed me right back when I mailed him--within moments, actually!-- but I don't know that he reads the forum that extensively.

Hi,
I sent 6 photos. That show my garden in my side yard and how it is child friendly.. Perhaps after the holidays I will be able to get pictures of the crayon box garden on the web.

I sent a few but doubt they will be useful. Kind of like pics of your kids, you think they are the most beautiful thing in the world but the truly photogenic are rare.

Re: ATTENTION SFGer's: WE NEED YOUR SFG PHOTOS!!!!
Hey Guys. Thanks so much for the photos. The response has been great. Please keep them coming. Here are some specific requests. I need:
pictures of someone in their garden with a water bucket(like they are washing their veggies after pulling them.
*good vertical crop pictures(veggies going up the trellises
* a few have sent in pictures of winter gardens(gardens covered with plastic. If anyone has one where they show the plastic covering but you can see the crops inside, that would be great.
*a picture of someone harvesting their lettuce(either pulling it from the ground or cutting it from the root
*veggie growing through wire mesh(some veggies require support to grow. I need a picture of veggies growing through those supports
*wire cages around your veggies( to protect against animals)
*any germination pictures(seedlings sprouting)
*a picture of plants being transplanted
*Pictures of you guys holding the fruits of your labor!
By the way, since I am updating the 'Cash from Square Foot Gardening Book' if you guys have stories of making money from your SFG's, please send them in to me as well. I want to show the world that this is not only enjoyable, but can be profitable as well! thanks so much guys! Alan

Yahtzee ... the SFG transplant, growing vertical, up a wire trellis, ultra-combo-pic
All kidding aside, I just e-mailed a bunch of pics .... Alan's welcome to any of those, or anything else he finds in those folders

In cooresponding with Alan today; he also needs one of these ..
I don't think I have anything that fits-the-bill .... does anyone else?
The book has a page where someone is picking a veggie from a vine plant and the caption talks about how you don't have to bend down to get produce(tailored for senior citizens) if you've got something like that, I 'd love it. Alan

I saw them, I think those will work fine to fill the need for germination pictures. Thanks!

A number of people have TT gardens, maybe they can help? I don't have any pictures of me picking *anything* because it was always just me doing the picking. I'd imagine that's a common finding among SFGers!
