Can someone tell me about how many cubic feet a 40lb bag of compost is? I think I saw 1 cubic ft in an earlier post, but I want to double check. I have 2 raised beds I made last fall and I'm gong to try square foot gardening in them this spring. I'm searching for my soil ingredients (wow, got lucky on the vermiculite --called a nursery center and she said she can order for me --1st try --wow!) and just wanted to make sure I know how many bags of compost to buy for 2 4x8 beds (I think around 11-12 cubic ft of each of the 3 ingredients). Just wanted to make sure my math was right!

Yes 40lbs is about 1 cubic foot.
