Rainy day pleasure
Watching flocks of starlings and robins drinking and bathing in the puddles in my driveway and gorging on the ornamental crabapples in my backyard. Lovely!

Re: Rainy day pleasure
Our neighbor on the end of the building had an apple tree. (It has long since split, fallen down and been taken out.) I never tasted one... they were pretty small apples though I don't think crabapples. Anyway.... every fall it would drop a ton of fruit on their lawn. The neighbors weren't good about cleaning the fruit up... and as a result, for the space of about a week or so, we all got to watch the antics of the squirrels and birds who ate the fermented fruit.
