New Use for Mel's Mix
Some of you may remember my quinea dilema from this spring. Well the chicks are now coming of age and a couple of them have decided to make a sqaure of the purple hull SFG there new laying box they made a nice little concave in the mix and started laying eggs, ,,,, I wonder if the mels mix will grow eggs???? into guineas HAHAHAHA

Maybe you should check with Carolyn and Boffer to find out how many GDD's they need. Then as long as you don't plant them too deep or too close together you should be successful. Mel's Mix is pretty awesome stuff.

Yall are soo funny!
Well we are done for the year dont think I will plant a winter crop still thinking of a green house for tomato's,, just got to come up with funding.
We did have 5 baby chicks follow their momma out from under the porch yesterday, dont you just love suprises! there are 2 Americana's and 2 barred rock cross with americana and 1 solid black not sure how it will turn out , thats the other neat thing about free range hens and roosters you never really know what your gonna get until after about 2-3 months, then you still have to wait to see how many will be roosters, I am over run with roosters now,, I hope the new babies are all hens the wife wont let me buutcher any of the young roosters.
