Fall....sigh. Empty Fall....sigh.

I uprooted my tomato plants yesterday. They are still producing amazing numbers of tomatoes, but there is no longer enough sun to make them delicious. I am guessing that the sun must help the sugar develop, because all of them were either too tart or really boring - from the same plants that have been incredibly delicious until now.

It was a really fun summer as far as the garden was concerned. I had success with zucchinis, yellow squash and tomatoes, but the tomatoes were such a huge success that I don't even care about the 12 other things I planted that never did well or appeared at all.

Sigh.

I do plan on doing at least a little fall/winter gardening. I never got my fall crops in in July/August.

This is the most beautiful weather of the entire year, in my opinion, but it's a hard time of year.

Thanks for letting me wine.

Wine or whine? Let's see, it's after 11pm your time, just after work, feeling melancholy about your garden...it must be both!
