so with the honey recipe how wold you convert it to fresh rather than powders and paste??

I am assuming you mean tomatoes....You gotta cook down the fresh tomatoes to a thick sauce, slow and low. Very Happy Very Happy

no what im asking is how much fresh tomatoes = 12 oz of tomato paste and how much fresh garlic = 1/4 tsp of garlic powder and how much fresh onion = 1/2 tsp of powdered onion

that way we can make this recipe with fresh stuff from our garden's

Well this would depend on the water content of the fresh tomatoes. If you used a beefsteak type it would require more tomatoes than if you used a paste tomato. Does that make sense? I would surmise that if you were using fresh tomatoes you would not need to add the water. just cook the tomatoes down to the a consistency a little thicker than you want because you will be adding the liquid vinegar and honey.
As to the onion and garlic, again it is dependent upon your taste and the flavor strength of the herb, mince a little bit of each add it, taste and then adjust as necessary. Maybe 2 tsp of each?
