New from Wyoming
Hi all!
I live in Wyoming on 40 acres with 6 horses. Our soil is clay-like and very dry. Our pasture is mostly cheat grass and cactus but we love it. We have a beautiful view of the mountains and a very good friend and co-worker lives in those mountains and she does SFG. Last year I did some container gardening (in homemade grow boxes from instructables.com) with tomatoes and peppers, peas and some herbs. It did not do as well as I had hoped, but we had horrible grasshoppers last year. My friend told me about SFG and brought her book for me to read. I read it in one night and I am so excited to get started! I plan to use netting to keep the grasshoppers out and I am also going to use the pvc pipe greenhouse to extend my growing season!

Re: New from Wyoming
Hey Hi! I spent a ton of time in western Wyoming two years ago. My niece was married in Green River. We had our trailer with us so we took the time to travel to the Tetons. Stunning. What mountains is it that you see? IE where are you?

Welcome Melon80:
One of the great things about Square Foot Gardening is that it can succeed in almost any climate and in any region of the world. No matter where we are the principles of SFG are the same. And we can succeed with less work, less water and have a better harvest per square foot than in any gardening system that I know of. Oh how easy it is. Shucks even I can do it.
God Bless, Ward.
