What tree could it be?

Re: What tree could it be?
I LOVE Green Bean Trees! Except when ones older brother whipped me with the pods.
Re: What tree could it be?
collected a few bean pods from this beautiful tree.
Maybe, I can grow one in a pot.
Does anyone know what kind of tree this is?
It's located off the edge of a parking of a fast food place (in South Carolina).
This area appears abandoned and unused, covered in weeds.

According to the link these trees and grow to 50 feet or more in height. Probably not a good specimen for "pot growing".
God Bless, Ward and Mary.

Thanks so much for identifying it for me. Evidently, the seed pods I collected are not mature enough, so I will collect more in OCTOBER that is when it's said to be mature and brown in color.

Another little gardening experiment. This is drawing my interest even more, because of the Catawba Indian connection to the plant in this area.
My husband told me about the Native Americans that once lived here. His Grandmother was part "Creek Indian".
He does't know much about the specifics of her ancestry.
She was a principle at a local school.
In her photos, she's a beautiful woman with strong Native American features.
I sure would like to grow this beautiful plant, because of the Native American connection. Just a little something for my kids and future grandkids to learn about.
