bush w/ berries ID
we were pulling weeds out of my garden beds and my daughter says there is berries on here.
I planted corn here that never came up but these bushes did anyonbe know what they might be there is three of them and a strawberry bush.
oh and the Japanese Bettles loved the leaves

Looks like nightshade to me and it IS toxic/poisonous!
FIRST -- Keep your daughter away from it, then use disposable gloves, pull it up, and throw it in the trash -- NOT your compost pile!

Did you plant any garden berries or huckleberries? It could be one of those. (If you are unsure do not eat it.) My garden berry had leaf damage like yours, only much worse. It got down to just stems and leaves. I looked at the package and it shows holey plant foliage. Birds loved it, as well as the flea beatles.

In my opinion it is from the nightshade family, it has a beautiful purple and yellow shooting star like bloom. Poisonous Nightshade

If the birds and other critters are not eating it, probably means it is not edible, right?

Yeah I think it is a nightshade plant. It's gonna go out with the trash.
