76 mph winds = time to pull the peas Empty 76 mph winds = time to pull the peas

We had major storms Saturday and the only thing that was damaged in the garden were the peas (that were still producing like crazy), and one row of corn. Now to decide what to put in where the peas were............Maybe a whole bed of cilantro???? Fresh salsa is around the corner.

Why not try more peas?

I pulled up all my peas as they were all yellow and faded, but what a season I had.....my first yr of peas (and everything else in my SFG) was awesome! (I started my peas april 13th)
So, I'm trying them again. I know, I know......peas like cool, wet conditions, but what the heck. By the time mid-Aug rolls around here in MN, the evenings and nights are cool. The challenge will be keeping the young, new growth protected from the intense sun. We'll see how it goes.
