SFG annoys me!
Gotcha!
But seriously, I don't have much to do out there at all. Our sous chef, who is also a farmer, harvests whatever is ready, so I don't get to do that.
Watering has been needed, for sure, in this time of drought.
But I am DROWNING in paperwork. I went outside for a moment and pulled a weed out of my flower garden, and thought "Harrumph. If only the vegetable gardens needed weeding, I would have an excuse to get away from this stupid paperwork!"
And if anyone is undecided whether or not I really deserve pity, look at how little I have been posting lately!

:tsk:
No sympathy on the paperwork part, but it's too bad that you don't get to harvest everything-the heck with delegating?!
On the plus side, how many folks have a tax deductible garden?

Re: SFG annoys me!
you have a very good point there.
Damn. I hate it when somebody spoils a perfectly good temper tantrum! (this time, its screaming it's little head off and kicking its feet, not ROTFLMAO!)

It is allowed and encouraged to simply go out and admire your garden. You have our permission so it is even sanctioned!
I have learned a lot out there. I have counted 10+ bugs I simply can't identify. If I don't know what it is I don't kill it (unless it is worm/grug-like). Today I saw what looked like a bionical wasp. No idea what that was. As long as the damage in minimal, I will let them slug it out amongst themselves. Point being, that came from just hanging out and observing. Didn't have a good reason to do it, and there was plenty I was procrastinating on. :> And that just touches on the amazing things that go on out there.

+1 No reason needed to spend time in the garden-it's good for you
Re: SFG annoys me!
Well, after whining, I went outside to water and visit. It's a happy thing.
And Boffer's right - no more allowing him to do the harvesting.
There sure are a lot of imminent veggies out there starting to ripen.
(In deference to Boffer's bad weather this season, I won't mention any names.)

I think you should go out in your garden and take pictures. Consider it part of your records for tax purposes later, but enjoy every second of admiring your crops as they flower and grow.
And post a few here.

Quiltbea, you are brilliant! Not only would it be fun, but it is seriously a really good idea to have a record.

Consider an hour of garden time therapy and take a $150 tax write off. Your job is stressful so I think it is a job related necessity. I know my mood always changes for the better after seeing all the growth and happiness in my garden.
