Garden update:July 9 2010 My plants seem so behind...
Hi all!! Thought I would post some pics tonight of my very green but very behind little garden.

Below is the bed I have strawberries in, with some pole beans, black eyed susans, garlic and purple cone flower. No flowers yet, very few strawberries, beans were only planted about 5 weeks ago.

Here is the center of the same bed, closer up of the purple cone flowers, black eyed susans and beans.

Close up of the beans

Few Tomatos coming in

This is the tomato and pepper bed with worm tube

Here is the cukes, zukes, carrots, green onions and some sunflowers

Some more pole beans

Some Walla Walla sweets

My small little cukes

Praying I get a few little harvests before the fall freezes....

If you want to give everything a boost, which is what I do depending on my crazy weather here in NE Indiana, you can give your plants some fish emulsion or Organic Miracle Grow. It might speed things up a bit.
I think it all looks wonderfun! Congrats

Fantastic. What a beautiful set up you have and all your plants look so pretty. I guess that's compared to my shaded swamp bed. LOL. I laugh because I have a fabulous bed that gets the most sun, then a so-so bed that with the right plants could be great, and then there's the bed that gets 5 hours of angled sun and mostly dappled, shaded sun, with moss growing on top and it rarely NEEDS to be watered. Anyway, your beds look fabulous and the plants look great too. Now that you've fertilized, depending on your weather conditions, I bet you get great harvests.

Yeah, I know the stuff is awful... smelling anyway. I about gagged everytime I went over to my gardens for the first 2 or 3 days after applying it. Not to mention the stinking FLIES were everywhere after I put it on my garden. They were swarming.
I just left my garden alone for a few days until the smell calmed down and swore I'd buy the deorderized (odor free) kind as soon as I got the chance

Your garden looks great middlemamma!
If your strawberries do like mine, the first year you won't get to many, but next year you will have lots of them.
Post more pictures in a couple of weeks and I bet we will see a big difference in how it has grown. It may be behind but it is really nice and green looking.
