What's Your Favorite Garlic?
For those of you that are growing or have grown garlic in your SFG, what kind(s) are you growing? If you could post that here, I would love to hear from you. If you could answer the following about your garlic, it would be most helpful! There are so many kinds, I need help making a choice!
Name of garlic:
Where you ordered/bought it:
Hardneck or softneck type?:
Characteristics you like or don't:
Anything else you want to add...
Thanks in advance!

LOL Call me a hayseed if ya want, but I didn't have a clue there was that much to know about garlic! I'm looking forward to reading the responses. |
Re: What's Your Favorite Garlic?
I've never tried it before, Pattipan. I didn't know either, so I'm going to buy an assortment to plant this fall. Can't wait! I am also looking forward to the results of your poll; great idea!

boffer,
I didn't think there that there was that much to know either! When I was looking on www.territorialseed.com ,there were so many choices I thought I'd as "the group" what they were planting. Territorial seed is a great site, but the prices and shipping seem a little high. Johnny's seed is sold out...unless that is last year's garlic??? Hoping to find another source with this thread.

Patti, this is where I plan to buy from. I'm going to get a sampler (probably one that includes potato onions), not sure which one yet, as I may split an order with someone.
