Re: My 2 month old garden
I know what you mean. I was never discouraged from gardening, but didn't have much to show for it. This year I am a little panicked about canning/freezing. Not to mention what to do with the volume of green I will have when it is time to pull out plants - my compost area is not up to the task and I want a chipper!
Re: My 2 month old garden
BEAUTIFUL, Aussie Girl!
(And, no chipper for me... just a bucket and some loppers.)

2 Month Old garden

Congratulations on your garden and great pictures.
We do have an advantage in the southern hemisphere of continuing to garden in the winter.
Today I picked silver beet, spinach, spring onions, lettuce and raddish for my salad tomorrow for work, sweet potatoes which I have never grown before, red beet, cauliflower and broccoli. My winter tomatoes are starting to color so hopefully can pick them next week.
Made green tomato pickles tonight.
Keep the pictures coming.

Re: My 2 month old garden
Congrats. Everything looks great, but I'm envious over the lettuce - I miss mine so much. Yes, I'm an SFG convert for life, just wish I had done it a long time ago.
Re: My 2 month old garden
I also wish I had found this years ago.
I can't believe this garden, I didn't get to check it for 2 days (looking after a sick dog) and I swear everything grew an inch.
I think the secret is a tip I got from the first SFG book - fill buckets with water and let them get warmed by the sun all day - and then use that to water with. I swear they love the warm water.

Companion Herbs
Try seeding Oregano with your broccoli and cauliflower. This herb repels worms that love to munch on the broccoli.
