Celery
I have not seen growing celery in awhile, so my memory may be scewed as to how big they get. I read that you plant one celery plant per s/f. Is that correct or do you think a square could support two plants?
Re: Celery
I grew 4 squares worth one year, at 2 per square. We wrapped them to keep them tight, and they did fine.
Re: Celery
I planted 4 plants all died. So now I planted some seeds we'll see if anything grows.

Re: Celery
i purchased seeds for celery, but read that you should start them indoors several months before you want to move them out. YIKES!!
My seed did nothing in my garden, but I found some small plants locally. They seem to be doing well.
I had also read that if you put a tube or quart milk bottle around the bottom it will help keep the plant compact. I would imagine similar to tying them.

Re: Celery
a couple days ago I was making dinner and decided to try an experiment I had read about in a home-science homeschool type forum. I took the bottom of the celery bunch, put it in water, and in theory it is supposed to grow roots and new celery. we'll see.
