New Gardener in Rochester, MN
I've started gardening this year. Been working for a couple months to get my SFG ready. It ended up being larger than 4x4, my dad got carried away. It's 11x6. The bad part is that it is against the house, so I can't walk all the way around it. To compensate, I bought some stepping stones and placed down the center so I can reach everything. I just have to tiptoe through the veggies!
I have 20 different types of plants growing. All of them except celery are up and thriving. I don't have any pests so far (fingers crossed). The only weed I find is little cottonwood trees... hundreds of them!
My family was resistant to let me start this garden. But I notice they are excited at every new little spout that pops up. They even drag me out there to check it out!
Can't wait to start harvesting. Happy Gardening!!

Welcome!! Great to have another Minnesotan SFGer! Isn't it so much fun? Hopefully the rain will stay away for a little while and the sun comes out!
