Pruned tomato too much?

I feel like I have a history (albiet a short one) of posting dumb questions...this next one might top my list.

I was pruning my indtmt tomato plants for suckers. After getting a few off I was feeling a little overconfident I think and actually "pruned" the top of the plant off!! Pruned tomato too much? Icon_redface

As soon I did I was like, "hmm, wait a second..." Does this mean it will not grow anymore this season. Should I pull it up and start anew? It is maybe 2 ft tall.

It is hard to prune tomato too much. Leave it as it is and wait for the new suckers to grow (might take about 7 days - depends on the weather conditions and type of tomato). Then choose one for a leader, and prune the rest. Or you can leave two branches as main leaders - this way you will have more fruits.

The only dumb question is one not asked. Ditto what Jola said, and I'd certainly vote for leaving two suckers.
