Value of Gardening

It seems that gardens are becoming more valuable every day. Stopped at a local Burger King today to get a whopper, and asked for extra lettuce and onion. Was told that the extra lettuce would be 50 cents, so I told 'em to just make it extra onion. That makes the lettuce I am growing look better and better. They don't put much lettuce on their sandwich anyway, so 50 cents for it would make a head of lettuce very expensive.

For years now head lettuce has been $1. Now it is $2. I'm shopping in WV/MD

A head of leaf lettuce is $2-4, depending. No shortage in CA just expensive.
