Combining Mel's Mix with existing soil Empty Combining Mel's Mix with existing soil

I have a 4x4 raised bed that I installed last season (before I heard of SFG) and grew beans, squash, and other vegetables.  I'd like to turn it into a SFG.  Do I need to remove all of the existing soil mix or can I incorporate Mels Mix into it. It would.be ALOT of soil to remove. Any suggestions?

If you don't want to remove the dirt, you can remove just enough for 6-7" of Mel's Mix plus mulch. It may be easier to just make the bed taller to accommodate the MM, leaving the dirt as a bottom filler. Don't forget the grid. Wink
