New markers and new sfgs!
We have been working away at our new SFG. My little helper said today that he "loves our SFG"! I had a big chuckle over that. He is so into gardening now!
We have four boxes, and I also built 2 tomato cages and a compost this spring!
My wonderful helper! Echinaecha, rosemary, onions and spinach up so far
New potato cages and composter in the background.
The markers that I made this afternoon. I still have several left to make!
All four sfgs, the new cage covers that I just finished, and my proud helper!

Wow, really great looking! Quite a handsome helper you have there, too.
How did you bind together the corners of the chicken wire for your covers?

Re: New markers and new sfgs!
Thanks! My helper is invaluable
I had these little white tye wraps that worked really well. I found it easiest to cut the two short sides first and attach them to the frame. Then attach one side of the long piece of chicken wire to the frame. I then used the white tye wraps up the sides of the short pieces, along the tops, down the other side and then cut the long piece of chicken wire. I did the long piece first with the first cage I made and I had some cw left over afterwards. My measuring apparently wasn't quite on

Your covers look amazing!! I am so sad whenever I have to protect yet another garden because of the look, but I think I may have to re-do mine. What kind and size wire did you use for your cages?

Your beds are looing good but your helper is even better.
When he has nothing better to do, send him to my house. I'm in zone 5 as well.
Good luck and enjoy.
