Add blocking - How to
Occasionally, the adds at the top of the forum are somewhat distressing, and often far-off topic. I often wonder why they don't post adds that are gardening-oriented. The other day the advert was attempting to sell me something I definitely can't find in the garden.
For me, I just turn my add-blocker on and let it take care of the adds. But I realize that that not everyone knows about add-blockers.
Here's a video that tells how to install the Ublock-origin addblocker on your Chrome-based browser. My technical staff* recommended this one and I've used it for years. This should work for almost all chromium-based browsers, including Chromium, Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Vivaldi, Opera, and Brave. You may need to turn it off from time to time when you need to log back into the forum. This is just a quick click, as the video explains.
I've never had a problem with add-blockers, but YMMV. So if you have doubts, find and ask your local computer guru.
* Aka daughter.
