I am sure all of you veteran gardeners know how this turned out, but in an attempt to keep my ego in check I decided to post some pics of the carnage. Much to my surprise though little heads are starting to develop.

Broccolli vs Caterpillars Empty pointers on sevin dust

Post  ralitaco 5/26/2010, 8:48 pm

Well some good news. 3 of my 6 broccoli/cauliflower plants are forming heads. I had to pull one up as it was doing nothing. Another may fall too. It's stalk is only about pencil thick while the others are thumb thick.
I have pulled the really bad leaves, the ones with just skeletons left.

Also, I have purchased Sevin dust to apply once the rain stops.
Any tips for the application.
I don't plan to put it on my lettuce. I plan to harvest the lettuce heavily then dust the other plants.
