TD's 2021 Gardening
Due to expected surgery in the Spring to remove a tumor (likely cancerous) and part of my left kidney I expect my gardening will be limited this year.
Earlier this week I started up one of my Aerogardens with romaine lettuce, arugula, kale and basil seeds. The arugula has already sprouted.
My next job is to review my seed inventory and order any required seeds. However, I doubt that I
will start any transplants indoors this year. I also expect my SFG to be very limited. I may just scatter some flowers seeds in some of the beds.

You take care of yourself. Garden only if you feel like it. Sending all the hopes and prayers I can.

I hope that things go well, and you are taking it day by day. I like how the Aerogardens bring a little life into our homes, especially in winter's confinement. To me, watching things grow gives me a profound sense of happiness, accomplishment, and a, somehow, sense of belonging inside, in my soul. Our forefathers toiled in the gardens to survive, and it's our way of honoring their efforts. I wish you the best.

Re: TD's 2021 Gardening
I wish you all the best, TD, and hope you can get back to SFG in time. Good idea to resurrect the AreoGarden so that brings some sunshine in your life. I have also brought back to life my old six pack garden and it so nice to see some green things growing.
I had to laugh when I went into my local Canadian Tire to buy some replacement lights only to dis cover that they had not sold those light fixture for some twenty years. So I had to go online to get them and they came pretty quickly. I should have also ordered a packet of herbs or lettuce but I made do with some small seeds to produce small greens. and I also found some empty containers the I stuffed with tissue then a bit of soil at the top and it seems to be working fine.
I may have some time before I get to England to make one 6x3 raised bed.
I will keep you in my prayers, TD, that you will get through all this and come out the other side. Kelejan

Re: TD's 2021 Gardening
Thank you for your prayers and kind thoughts.
This coming Friday (March 5, 2021) I will be having the CT Scan for my kidney tumor and to make sure I do not have more kidney stones. The CT Scan will followed by a yet to be scheduled follow-up meeting with my urologist. I will be able to see the results of the CT Scan through the hospital's online patient portal before that meeting.
