Blueberry Season is open!

Blueberry Season is open!
So it's blueberry season in Georgia. (Georgia actually grows more blueberries than peaches according to the Dept of Ag.)
I am bound & determined that I am going to have some of our blueberries this year. The last couple of years we've just let the birds have them....
Went out this morning to do some picking. Man, I interrupted everyone's breakfast plans this morning. Had this one bird squawking at me for quite a while. I saw a patch on another bush & moved to it. All of the sudden the squawk pitch changed tremendously. Much more frantic. Guess that's where they were planning to feast on once I left. Had a couple of birds try to join me. They decided to wait when I told them to go away, lol.
At least the chipmunks left me alone. And I got almost a gallon!
But here's the real kicker: After TWENTY-FIVE years of marriage, DH told me last night that he's really not that fond of blueberries.... WHAT??? Hmmmmm...... Well, guess it's more for me, lol!
