Starting a new thread for Part 2 of my sixth year SFG in Canada.

I can only see pictures in general if I'm on my cel phone in mobile mode.
I can only see the smilies if I'm in web view.
So it's an interesting back and forth for me. Maybe the same is happening to you?

Is it because so many of us are at home and on the Internet at the same time?

Could be KJ. Some people don't seem to have the problem but I sure do.Kelejan wrote:yolos wrote:It shows for me. Just taking a long time to load.trolleydriver wrote:The photo in the first post is not showing for me.

I used my patience and the first picture finally came through. Looks good, TD.

Re: Sixth Year SFG in Canada - Part 2
I have not seen any problems with viewing pictures when I am on my Linux laptop on the home WiFi. But, the pictures are very slow to download when I use the Android tablet, even though it is on the same WiFi. I don't use Windows, so can't compare that.

CN, I had that trouble as well, then I reloaded and WAITED & WAITED & WAITED and it loaded.
Re: Sixth Year SFG in Canada - Part 2
This morning I found three small rabbits near my SFG. They were all dead and two were decapitated. The murderer returned to the scene later in the day ... a neighbourhood cat.
On a brighter note I harvested Collard greens from the SFG and cooked them up as a side dish for dinner. I think this is the first time I have had success growing collard and the first time we have eaten them.

I have always considered cat to be semi wild. Sorry for the little rabbits.trolleydriver wrote:This morning I found three small rabbits near my SFG. They were all dead and two were decapitated. The murderer returned to the scene later in the day ... a neighbourhood cat.

Nice harvest, TD! Sorry about the carnage...
My strawberries have come to an unproductive end. Will need to pull them all and start again next year with new plants. The babies that they send out don’t really produce anything, and what they did, my rabbit got!
Enjoy!

Got home yesterday after spending a week with our daughter and her family who live close to 600 kilometres from us. Just took a walk through the veggie garden and got this very small harvest including our first tomato, first Desi Squash and first radishes. The creatures have had a field day and damaged many plants.

Re: Sixth Year SFG in Canada - Part 2
Hi folks. Sorry am not on the forum very much any more. This Saturday will be the first anniversary of the day I met with my urologist and got the news that I have high risk aggressive prostate cancer. That led to radiation treatment and hormone therapy. I am still on the hormone therapy and will be for at least another nine months. Then as a result of CT Scan for the prostate cancer, a tumor was found on my left kidney which is 90% likely to be kidney cancer. For that I am doing what is called active surveillance. I will be getting a follow up CT Scan for the kidney tumor on September 4th. This will determine if there has been any change that will necessitate removal of the tumor along with the kidney.
The good news is I am still here and still gardening. In fact today I picked 5 pounds of rattlesnake pole beans from our Square Foot Garden.

Glad you are still able to do some gardening, TD! We are sending prayers for your tests on Sept 4th that you will get good results.
