Today, I picked and washed three 1-gallon bags of kale and lettuce to take to my daughter and DIL And, lots of navel oranges.

Topped the potato onions to use as chives in our cottage cheese -- best I've ever grown. From now on, these are all I'll ever grow for chives, with the added benefit of getting onions at the end of the season and starts for next year.

From my garden today I will be eating snow. I always check the color before taking a bite. Never ever eat yellow snow.

Kale chips!
Except they're not made with kale, though they could have been. I've got all these kohlrabi and purple cauliflower leaves left over. I was thinking there was too many to use in meals. Then I remembered kale chips, and figured the same "recipe" could apply to other leaves. You basically wash them, cut them, dry them, cover with oil (I like olive oil), season with season salt and then bake at 225F for 10 minutes on a baking sheet. Flip them over and bake another 5 to 10 minutes. They shrink to half size and become incredibly melt-in-your mouth crispy.
But, I still have too many leaves. So unless I start serving this for breakfast ...

Pink Eye Purple Hull cowpeas. I grew a bunch in 2018, froze them, packaged in Food Saver bags and have started to eat them now.

Lettuce, in a Chinese Chicken Salad from Costco. Yummy, but not sure what variety, and I have another one out there we don't like. Don't know which type to plant again and which one to get rid of.

Peppers in a frozen Unstuffed Pepper Casserole, and I think there’s some garlic and onion in there too from the SFG.

Fresh Green Onions (bunching onions), the first for the year. These were started from seed last fall and allowed to grow over the winter. They are now ready to pull and enjoy for dinner.

Had a rainy day yesterday, so made 3 boxes of "kale" (in this case cauliflower) leaf chips:

Nicest, biggest regular radish I've ever grown. (Hubby ate it before I could take its pic. )
