TD, you had better get yourself a crash helmet. You have probably lost a few million brain cells.
I crashed in the ice the first time I stepped on a curling rink. Everyone rushed forward but I had kind of stiffened my neck so that my head did not touch the ice, but I had a stiff neck for quite a while afterwards. I was an OK first, but it was not my favourite sport and I cannot bear to watch it on TV when the ladies are playing; they make far too much noise.
Your mince tarts look just like the ones that my mum used to make and they always tasted so good. That brings back memories of Christmas Past.

If all the rain we had today was snow I would be working a lot harder shovelling my driveway. At least it is clearing the ice that the last snowfall left behind.
Re: CANADIAN REGION:What are you doing October - December 2018
An awful lot of wind on the West coast of British Cilumbia, Boats crashing into the pier at White Rock and damaging it by splitting in two and a man having to be rescued by helicopter.
Also many trees downed in Vancouver and area and thousands without electricity, some for several days over Christmas.
Hitting home for me in England, drones stopping all flying at Gatwick Airport and so many people having their holidays ruined.
One reason I will not travel at Christmas time; too vulnerable to weather and too many people. I love being at home and not having to travel.

Both of you, and all of our Canadian gardeners, be careful!

For myself, sanderson, apart from a little snow, the weather is all quiet and peaceful
and even the snow remains on the trees as the temps remain a little below freezing and everything looks so lovely.
I am hundreds of miles away from all the mayhem west of me. I am so very lucky.

Thanks for reminding me Sanderson. By the end of that quarter I will be talking about gardening again. I really am looking forward to getting out in the garden again. Today I did get out but only to put down some gritty stuff on my driveway so that I do not slide down the hill.
The day before it was like a winter wonderland, now all the snow is off and it is so icy I will not walk down the road until it has been sanded. It is safer to be a car driver than a pedestrian.
I will be celebrating my first New Year in a little less than two hours as I was born and raised in England and for me that is the real New Year. By the time it gets to Midnight in British Columbia I most likely will be asleep.
