Hi from Central Wyoming
My name is Michael and we're now living in central Wyoming.
I've been involved in Square Foot Gardening since the early 1980's for my own family's gardens. I also spent many, many years helping others to set up family gardens and/or community gardens with help directly from Mel. Never did get my instructor certification back when it first became available, didn't need it by those I was helping.
There is emerging a great local interest in more formal square foot gardening workshops and courses, and the instructor certification is going to be required for some of these.....so, I just started that process.
Looking forward to sharing as we proceed.

Michael, welcome to the Forum from California!
I'm glad you are pursuing the Certification. We love hearing about gardens, seeing photos and hearing about teaching SFG.

Hello Michael. Welcome to the site and to our region, 'Western Mountains and High Plains'. I am north of you in Montana. How long have you been gardening in Wyoming?

Hello from Central Wyoming!
Michael, on behalf of the SFGF we are thrilled to have you working towards completing your requirements for Instructor Certification! I especially enjoyed our time on the phone yesterday during the Coaching Call. Stay on track and we all look forward to learning more about and seeing photos of The Earth Mother Renewal Project, school garden programs for the entire state of Wyoming and all of your ambitious projects.
It is especially heartwarming to have learned more about your friendship with Mel and the projects that occurred during those times. We're all missing him, but are all a part of his legacy.
YISFG,
Amie

SFG Instructor Certification Package Submitted
Finished the Study Guide a little after 3am this morning and just got the package emailed off to Amie and Belinda.
If only more of the programs and projects that I'm responsible for were, for me at least, that relatively easy. I've been doing SFG for almost 40 years - I would like to hope that I've learned something along the way!
Who needs sleep?

Received an email containing a copy of my new Certified Instructor Certificate this morning. Thank you Amie and Belinda!
I'm honored to join the ranks of all of the other SFG instructors out there who are working to make a real difference in the world. Thank you to all of you for that.
