LOL! Yep!
Here? Raining this morning, although we're between showers at the moment. At least it's not freezing...

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
No rain up here was 60 yesterday and 29 when I left for work this morning. It should be back in the 50's again today at least if not 60. Had a great weekend off got my greenhouse pulled apart and will be working on putting it back together again in a new spot with landscape fabric underneath to keep the weeds at then it will be time to rock and roll. Moving and setting up the raised beds and getting the cold weather stuff planted with a cold frame over the top to keep them happy and warm until they sprout and start the stuff that doesn't like the cold inside so that it gets a chance to get a little growing done before I have to move it outside to the gardens.
Do you guys have a reliable system for hardening baby plants to the outside weather? It's something I'm kind of hit or miss about up here.

WU showed a bit lower or about the same as I was, which was 56 F yesterday, IIRC. Seemed to not make sense that I didn't get the low 60s, if you did! ROFL!

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
chickenlittle, there are some tips on this forum including a good article posted by middlemamma (search "hardening off").
I set my tomatoes and pepper plants outside right after they sprouted which, although it was only for 30 minutes and repeated for 2-3 days, helped them to acclimate to the real world later on. When I set them outside last week for progressively longer periods and then for a full day (thanks to my husband who moved them into shade at noon), they didn't show any signs of sunburn or shock.
Our last frost date is 4/25. Because the forecast is for cloudy/partly sunny days this week with overnight temps no lower than mid 40s, I went ahead and transplanted them into the garden yesterday. This is my first time growing tomatoes and peppers from seed so I hope they survive the transition.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
This April definitely reminds me of 2007! Because while it was cold very late, as late as April 15 and April 16, April 23, is a major turnaround!
Like April, 2007, just one week later, it's like that bullplop never occurred!
And Skylar starkly reminds me of 2017's Stella! In 2018, like 2017, IIRC, we got the most snow from a winter storm with a name that starts with "S"!
The new place back in March, 2018, got 15 inches in a single snow day! My father measured it, IIRC! I hope that was a fluke, and we didn't move right into a Maine-like snowbelt, if not like Minnesota and the Dakotas!

After a gorgeous, sunny, warm weekend we woke up this morning to snow. It has snowed and/or rained all day.

That seems to describe a lot of us this spring
I woke this morning to a cloudless sky. It is sunny and they predict almost 60* today.

We're whipsawing between 90 and blazing sun from sunrise to sunset with no marine layer in sight and prefect mid 70s. Overnight lows from upper 40s to low 60s with no relation toto the high temp for the day.

It was 50*F at 7 a.m. here. We have had some great weather with sunny clear skies but the rain has starteds today. We need it and I can already see the grass greening up.

ACK!
Beautiful here! Spring has sprung, sun & flowers everywhere, seeds are sprouting in the SFG, and it rains when appropriate.

YIKES! We aren't supposed to see 90 until next Saturday. Cold and rainy here for the next 2 days, then gradually heating up from there.sanderson wrote:90-91*F for three days!
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Thunderstorm last night, with HAIL
I was grateful the only things I've managed to transplant out yesterday happened to be under a cover. The volunteers and peas seemed fine when I checked this morning - the claytonia looked a little bruised, but even a heavy rain can do that to them.

Today ... cool 42F, wet and windy. I day to stay indoors.
But for Tuesday through Thursday we should be around 73F. That is right in my favorite temperature range.

It’s 82* here, unseasonably warm. For the next couple days, then back to normality.

Aiming for 22C (72F) which is in my favourite temperature range. Unfortunately it's going to be raining and a possible thunderstorm.

Was in the 50's when I got up today. Humidity's rising a bit - got some clouds yesterday afternoon. But looks like another nice day!
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Highs in the 85*F range and lows in the 55*F range (+ or - 1*). Toasty when working in the sunny part of the garden.
