Welcome ,
I'm down in South Wales at the West end of the M4 motorway , I have been square foot gardening for as long as Mel but didn't know it till 1997 when my Canadian FIL introduced me to mel's original book & way of using deep amended mother earth soil beds .
Now I've fully moved over to Mel's final no mother earth soil growth medium ( when I joined this site ).
I haven't looked back ever since and thought I had a reason to complain .
Several of my ANSFG bed veg pictures are in the gallery pictures .
The only thing I would not repeat doing is substituting the peat moss element of Mel's Mix for steam sterilized processed compressed chopped coir as the coir in one of my experimental beds has rotted down quite a lot over seven years . Whereas the peat bed of my neighbour has not rotted down so much.
Now the rest of the beds are being fed with my home produced, home made compost things are a lot better .
Dave
