Newbie From the Ca High Desert
Hi everyone, I am just learning SFG and live in the desert which means cold, hot and always dry and windy. I will be asking lots of questions!

Re: Newbie From the Ca High Desert
Hi Simon, Welcome to the Forum from hot (up to 110*F), dry summer, with mild winter Central Valley!
Looks like you need sun shade, wind breaks ?? SFG is good for hot areas. The Mel's Mix formula is good for moisture retention, especially if it is mulched during the summer. You are Welcome to join in the Northern California running thread. https://squarefoot.forumotion.com/t21830-northern-california-coastal-valleys-what-are-you-doing-this-month

a very different climate from yours. I am sure you will connect with others from a similar climate. We look forward to seeing your progress here and will do our best to answer all you questions as most of us remember when we started and knew little of what we were letting ourselves in for.
If you can, use the SEARCH BOX in the top left hand corner of this page, put in a word or two and you will be amazed at what comes up.
