For the first time in over 5 years, I planted bush cucumbers and they are producing cucs! Very Happy However, I didn't realize how much they would spread - adding fencing for them to crawl up AFTER they started sprawling isn't the best answer but it is working.

Several of you have mentioned the lack of pollenators in your gardens - what a shame.  I feel doubly fortunate here in NoVa because I have 3-4 species of bumblebees working VERY hard and have even seen a couple of honey bees (where is the hive- I have no idea).

No pics but I have picked bush beans, cucs, ripening tomatoes (determinate) and 3 peaches from a dwarf tree. I am a happy gardener.

Spring kale plants need removing and I should cut some savory cabbage heads (also from the spring), onions weren't huge but have been pulled (leaves died).

I feel VERY fortunate! 3170584802 , Judy. I also feel fortunate that there's anything left alive out in my gardens. It was 110.7 yesterday, according to Wunderground, and supposed to be 107 today.

Our "bee" pollinators are doing fine, but our "butterfly" pollinators are almost non-existent.  Sad
