Chickety Doo Doo
Chickety Doo Doo
I was wondering if anyone had ever tried this stuff? I was talking to the woman who owns one of the local garden shops near me and she was raving about it. I was just trying to find "real" people who may have tried it before. If nothing else maybe I will have just given people more to research LOL Any input is really appreciated!

I thought that the post topic was a joke! That's too funny.
I don't have experience with the product obviously. very clever name...
Let us know if you try it.

I kinda like saying it lol I think I may just suck it up and buy some. What's the worst that can happen? My yard smells like chickity doo doo (better than Rottweiler doo doo) and my cats start clucking?

I haven't used that particular product but I have used Black Hen. Click here for more information on it. I did not use it on my first 4 x 4 box and I can tell a big difference. I replanted some of my plants with the mixture I had made with the hen included. My plants loved me for it.

I too chuckled when I saw the title of this post -- I thought Auntij was trying to be delicate. I do know that my own composted chicken manure was the best compost I've ever used, so I would think this product would be very good. I miss my cluckers!

Chickety Doo Doo

You only put about a cup full in a wheel barrow of compost as it is very strong.
All chicken manure is strong but very good. You need to dig it in for 3-4 months before planting in it if it is straight from the chicken coop.
Very high in potash and the plants love it but certainly will burn them if you plant in it straight away.
Would be really good to dig in at the end of the season and leave for the winter.

Chickity doo doo
I am using it this year so I can not comment on it directly, but two of my co-workers have used it and love it. They said it improved their plant growth and yields.

Re: Chickety Doo Doo
Well I went out and bought a 25lb bag today for $12.99. It has an unusual odor but was easy to apply even though I had already planted in my garden. I had talked to one of the owners of the garden center and he said I could just sprinkle the suggested amount and then either work it in a little bit or water. I watered as working it into the soil really wouldn't have worked. The product is small granules, a little smaller than peas. You can even use it on your lawn, so I know I will be able to use 25lbs of it. I will let you all know how it works out for me.
