Lost 2 Posts This Morning
Are we having technical difficulties or is it just me? The forum ate 2 of my posts this morning -- 1 after "sending" and 1 during "view."
Re: Lost 2 Posts This Morning
Was there a particular thread that you were posting in?countrynaturals wrote:Are we having technical difficulties or is it just me? The forum ate 2 of my posts this morning -- 1 after "sending" and 1 during "view."
Sometimes it happens to me when I reply to a post but someone else is sending a post to the same thread around the same time. I think it is gone but it's not in the thread. I hit "go back) and the box where I created the post is still there. Then I hit "save" (i think that is the button) below the box where the post is entered and it gets posted. Not sure that makes any sense so feel free to ignore it.

Geomagnetic storms passing thru since yesterday. My work computer was switching between screens all by itself earlier. And I am hearing more groans than normal from co-workers.
"GEOMAGNETIC STORM: A G1-class polar geomagnetic storm is in progress on March 1st as Earth enters a fast-moving stream of solar wind. This is sparking bright auroras around the Arctic Circle. The solar wind is flowing from a large canyon-shaped hole in the sun's atmosphere and is expected to influence Earth for the next two days. Visit Spaceweather.com for more information and updates."

One was in the weather thread and yes, someone else was posting, but I didn't get the message and backing up didn't help -- it was just gone.trolleydriver wrote:Was there a particular thread that you were posting in?countrynaturals wrote:Are we having technical difficulties or is it just me? YIKES! I apologize for even mentioning it -- wouldn't want Mother Nature mad at me if she's in charge of solar wind.CapeCoddess wrote:countrynaturals wrote:Are we having technical difficulties or is it just me? The forum ate 2 of my posts this morning -- 1 after "sending" and 1 during "view."

This used to be a big problem in the past. Not sure if your issue is related or not, but there is a script in place to help prevent this. I'll look into it this evening.
I am my gardens worst enemy.
