Mother's mums in Mel's Mix.
Wife planted these mums in summer, they have done so nicely that she is doing the entire strip with them.

Very nice Jim- such beautiful colours.
I have added fall flowers to my front yard SFG when some spaces became available. They are doing very well.

A little story about these mums...My wife, 75 years old, planted mums here in the same spot year after year. They always did nicely, however this planting was the very last flower she planted before she died. They came up so beautifullly and she was so pleased. That very next season nothing grew in that area, not even daffodils came up as the had for many years...Almost seemed as if the flower angels knew she wasnt around any more..

Jimmy, I don't know what to say. It's like the flowers knew she loved them. Does the new owner not appreciate flowers?

Re: Mother's mums in Mel's Mix.
Hi Sanderson. The new owners were livid when they found out what was requested of me relating to my veggie gardens. and beds. I was told to take everything down to grass. six beds I had, 3 compost bins, a small shed all were removed making room for nice grass. It was their own fault because of the bickering on the price. they saw everything as it originally was, I only wanted to sell the house and get out for nothing meant anything to me any more. During 2 months of back and forth price bickering was when I was doing this work. I saw house a year later and they changed everything, not for the good in my opinion. But isnt it always like that ? I am content now, legs are giving out and cannot do as I once did so I am joining the group of has beens....much better than the group of never is's...I am at peace with everything now, enjoying life, eating good, chasing women...LOL...etc...and you should see the gals chasing me...sanderson wrote:Jimmy, I don't know what to say. Jimmy cee, nice to hear from you and how you are adapting to life changes with grace, dignity, and humor. Having 'fun' (yeah right) over here in Ohio with my own joint issues greatly restricting gardening. Formally entered the major gimpy stage. Certainy do Appreciate your wisdom and humor.
