SR, I leave the soft-necks on and try to braid them. Razz Eventually the leaves/neck dries out and the bulbs come loose.

This is the first year that I have some full size bulbs so I will have to see how dry out, whether the leaves/neck fall off.

2 days ago I picked a ton of mint and today made mint tea concentrate.
I have mustard greens to pick, and iffy on the lettuce.  Doesn't seem to be growing too well, but I could pick off the bigger leaves if I really had to.
Kale is second year, but it's ok. I made kale crisps the other day. I'm going to try to get the seeds soon.  Not seeing any seeds on the second year cabbage.
Onions never showed so I guess the seed was too old.  Carrots are barely showing - maybe it's my soil in that bed.
Everything is growing so slowly! I know my sunlight is low. Radishes were planted May 2 and just barely have their first true leaves when the packet says they should be ready to harvest on the 23rd.

Peas and tomatoes.  My two grandsons have found that they can get a snack from the garden so wander around looking for something to harvest and eat.  Now it is English Peas and cherry tomatoes.

About 40,000 maple seed pods.

The rains over the last week have pummeled all of the neighboring maples (I have none in my yard) and sent all their seed pods to my SFGs. Every day I spend time clearing my beds, and feel like Sysiphus pushing the rock uphill.

The good news is that I have had a lot less squirrel activity lately. Perhaps they have gotten the hint that a nasty human wants them dead.

Asparagus has been coming on strong.  Pounds of the stuff.  Some roasted and a couple pounds made into cream of asparagus soup then put into portions and frozen after eating all I could the past couple weeks.

Sad  I picked some baby carrots out the garden this afternoon  Mad  It should have been just weeds  Rolling Eyes .
Having an auto sprinkler watering system has seen the weeds start to overtake the inch tall carrots in a matter of days .  What a Face

We had the last of the asparagus yesterday , some of the thicker stems were starting to be a bit woody . I'll now let them grow on above & underground for next years bumper crop .

Beets, onions, kale, garlic, baby bok chioi, and radishes. The zucchini are starting to produce fast enough to feed the family and a few friends. (Won't be long before everyone starts running when they see me coming with an armload of zucs).
