Out in the garden this morning checking the tomato's and pulling weeds. As I went by the slowly growing peppers I saw one completely bitten off about 2 inches up on the stem. Then I looked and found three more completely ruined. What could be doing this? They are not eaten , just bitten off. Sad

My guess is vole. Pretty sure that's what happened to half my pole beans last year. Didn't look like anything got eaten, just chomp through the vines about 2 inches up. Dying vines, "stumps" on the ground.

Complete stab in the dark, dog?
My neighbor had an issue where his Corgi's would go out and "investigate" the little red things on his cheery tomato plants and end up bumping or nipping them off and then lose interest once the fruit was on the ground.
