We had rain almost everyday in May and I haven't gotten all of my seeds planted - like sunflower, squashes, etc.

Because today is the third sunny day in a row and the MM has dried out a bit, I'll plant the seeds and cross my fingers that all will come up and produce.

The tomato and pepper seedlings are in and both are growing but am a bit concerned about the nutrients left in the MM - we shall see!!  Have some compost set aside and can add that to the beds as needed.

I just sowed my curcubits (cukes, melons, summer squash, and zucchini/summer squash) last week, and haven't gotten my pole beans in yet, so you're not the only one who's late on some stuff! And I have to not forget about the seed potatoes sitting on my kitchen table...

we've had heave rains over the last 4-5 days and I'll probably hit my raised beds with some organic fertilizer this evening...however more storms predicted around 4:00 or so.

Just finished planting my squash. beans and cukes yesterday.  I'm REALLY late.  Just got 3 of the tabletops remade.  Had some nice lettuce, chard, kale and spinach going but not ready to pick until worms wiped them all out during 3 days of rain 2 weeks ago.   I didn't get out there to check on them.  Used BT on all and a few plants are putting up some leaves, but now I'm fighting heat.   OH WELL.  Had to make new MM for the tabletops so I'm planting the squash in them.  SVB eggs SHOULDN'T be in the mix this year.  Used fresh mix for all the tomato buckets and used the old mix in the "pond beds" and pepper buckets.   Putting beans, cukes, really late carrot planting. corn and marigoldsin those beds.

Hope to get 3 more tabletops ready for fall planting.  One will be dedicated to strawberries.

Kay

Due to an injury I'm now very slowly planting  tomato, squash, beans, etc. Missed entire spring planting.  Instead, will do those as Fall crops.  Perennials kept me from going nuts as it became very satisfying to watch asparagus, strawberries, and garlic pretty much arrive on their own, whew!

LM, What happened, or did you post and I just forgot.

I was late planting cantaloupe, sunflowers and viable okra, I say viable because the first seeding, only 2 of 12 came up. Being late turned out to be a blessing because the Mix and temps are warmer and it looks like near 100% germination.

Sanderson, no, I didn't post about the injury.  Cracked a little bone, the wing like bone above a vertebra, destabilized it and pressing on nerves. Couldn't walk without a cane and one point needed a wheelchair. Life went into slow motion = top speed. Slow recovery, still painful, still moving very slow 6 wks later. Phys therapy helps and home exercises too. Keep on trucking anyway.

Seriously,  I  appreciate the nice thoughts.  I've hired part time help both for the garden and housekeeping.  It helps so much mentally and physically.
