Our 4x6 herb box got its spring cleaning. Peggy dug up her big parsley root and picked the last of the usable salad greens so we weeded and pulled the rest for the garbage heap then turned over and raked a couple times adding composted stuff from the bottom of the heap worms and all. We had discovered 2 bunches of green onions growing in our garlic box. I guess they got mixed in when we planted. Well they had divided and become 2 big bunches. so I pulled them divided them and got about 30 bulbs for planting and a few bags of chopped greens for the freezer so I stuck them in the herb box. It was great fun spring cleaning the box in the scent of the blooming citrus. A wonderful back yard afternoon.

Rainy yesterday so I concentrated on spring cleaning the kitchen. Wiping walls and cabinets and such etc etc to suprise Peg when she got back from town she and her BFF went for a girls day movie day. In a fes days we will spring clean our 4x12 main garden and when we do wwe will blog a full report. The galric box and asparagus box are going just fine and need just a lil weeding.
