This is VERY VERY preliminary and the photo below is just a sample, not my garden, haven't even started it yet.
Summer Project Garden10

But, that's the general idea or inspiration.  I actually started thinking about this and planning last year.  Been toying around with different configurations.  I got "authorization" to proceed from the boss.  So, this is my summer project.  Build a fenced in area about 17'x40', at least 6' tall fence around, debating on whether to go 8'.  Also, outside the garden area, but close by, compost bins for my compost piles.

I'm excited.  This will allow me to consolidate all my "boxes" that are currently spread through out the yard into one area.  Still in planning phase right now and working on lining up materials and labor and/or equipment.  I have some "issues" I need to deal with, electric line through the area (of course), I have about 2.5' of fall in grade on the 17' wide area I have to deal with (not flat area like all the pretty pictures I see), get water source into the garden area, drain pipe (downspout) to pipe under/through the area.  Some challenges, but I think I can make it work.
Hope to be able to post "progress pictures" in a couple months.

Love it! Wow! Wish I was that handy. And it will effectively thwart the deer herd....they will be drooling around your enclosed bed....photo op!

We have the same problem with a slope. All the nice pics show flat land. One end of mine will be just fence, so the slope won't matter, but the other end will be solid wood 3' high planter bed. The fence across the top will be level, but the bed itself will have to slope or it will be too high at one end and too low at the other. What I'm toying with, is putting a wide level shelf on the outside for containers, right near the top of the sloping wall. Hopefully, with pots on it, parallel to the fence top, it will camouflage the sloping back and not look bad. I will definitely share pics as we go. I also need water, but the slope is the biggest issue.
