MEL'S NEW BOOK! Kim on Radio 2/29/16 AM
WOO HOO! We wanted to wait until March 1st to tell you about MEL'S NEW BOOK High-Value Veggies, but I'm doing a radio interview in the morning.
If you can join me:
Join me tomorrow morning when I will be on "What's Cookin' Today". You'll need to do a free download & registration to listen, so do that now. A few minutes before the show starts tomorrow morning, go to the web site, log in and Search for "What's Cookin' Today. The show is scheduled for 11:10 AM Eastern / 8:10 AM Pacific.
WHAT'S COOKIN' TODAY RADIO SHOW
I'll be talking about Mel Bartholomew's newest book High-Value Veggies!
You can pre-order the book at squarefootgardening.com. Remember, when you order through the Foundation store, you're helping us further SFG throughout the world. The price is the same as Amazon.

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Here's a little more about the book:
After teaching people HOW to garden, the most frequent question Mel gets is, "What should I grow?" This book will help you decide. In Section 2, not only does he calculate for you, he also has some neat tips on growing, curing and storing veggies & herbs.
Section 3 covers other kinds of value like: healthiest veggies, best for a child's garden, best for grilling, best for shade, and many more.
Again, it can be pre-ordered at squarefootgardening.com for the same price as Amazon - but it helps the SFG Foundation.

Excellent news. But I need this new book now as I plan for the upcoming season! So I checked Amazon Canada. The Kindle version will be available on March 15. They do not say when the paperback version (which I prefer) will be available but it can be pre-ordered now.

The print book will also be released on March 15. Pre-ordering (hopefully from the Foundation) will be the best way to make sure they are "out the door" ASAP.

I tried to order thru the foundation and they would not send it to me. Said something in my basket won't ship to Hawaii. It was the only thing in my basket. So I amazoned it.

Up here in Canada it would cost me $38 (Canadian dollars) to buy the book from the Foundation including shipping and currency exchange. So although I would really like to support the Foundation I have to go the less expensive route.

Fully understand your dilema. I'll see what Belinda has to say about it. Perhaps she needs to tweak the web site. I know I was having problems with my business web site charging sales tax for classes (which it's not supposed to).
