Saw this Gardener's Clock in a thrift shop yesterday.   

Found in Thrift Store....

A little pre-summer humor.

Alison was happily doing her bit with Kohlrabi . After thirty seconds she came to me beaming ,  gave me a big hug declaring " I love you , I've just sown my first ever seeds .  can I have some more ?
 I gave her a packet of lettuce seed .. " No not those , I've run out of kohlrabi I want some more to completer the row ." 
So 1000 kohlrabi sees over a foot long row ..interesting .

I got the kitchen sieve and sifted the soil & seed from the row ,  then explained about a seed every four inches or so and four inches between rows .


 We still find it funny as Alison now always sows the kohlrabi in the raised ANSFG beds with pride. ( using a square foot plastic sowing mask/grid )
