I am not new to gardening, but I am new to this. Familiar with it, but first practical experience. Living in So Cal I felt like I was wasting a good thing with a year round growing season and finally have put my money where my thoughts were. Thinking a thing to death is one of my shortcomings. I have added a few pictures. My only regret is that there isn't much to do in the garden once it is put together. Other than snail hunting after dark it just hasn't needed much work - though I have yet to build my trellises.

My backyard is south facing so this is great. Looking forward to getting some solar electricity too - perfect south facing roof space.

Below is what I have so far. I would like to add 3 more beds so it would be one 3X6' bed and the two rows of 4X4 and add a special potato box in a different area.

After awhile, and learning as I go - I had never grown potatoes before - I added a box on top so I could keep mounding the dirt. I may still need one more - glad I put these on the north side.
