I use the same technique, and then have the joy of picking off sticky paper. Embarassed

I googled "how to peel lots of garlic quickly" and this came up from wiki-how

http://www.wikihow.com/Peel-Garlic-Quickly

It references a silicone garlic peeler and when I searched that, several came up including this one from BB&B

We had a silicone tube for garlic peeling and it worked pretty good, but time ya get it out usse it and clean it after for just a few garlic toes we just pop em with the flat of a knife and peel its just as easy the garlic tube thing is lost in a drawer somewheres forgotten till I saw this.

We are into our second year of garlic but this aint a good year some froze and gave up some got dug up by da dawg till we finced it in and some just didn't grow well so pretty sure its gonna be a small haul Sad.  One end of the bed didn't survive so Today I think I will plant some peppers along that end of the box.  We tried peeling our garlic with one of those tube thingys and it quickly got sticky and goopy and more trouble than it was worth.  For a few pods for cooking it is fine but not for bringing in the crop amounts.

Garlic - Garlic - Page 2 Empty Storing Garlic

Post  ceseagleson 4/12/2017, 1:55 pm

Hi,
Another great way to store garlic is to peel apart the bulb and take all of the outside wrappers off of each clove and put it in a large mason jar with distilled white vinegar.  You can also add some rosemary and thyme.  This will store for at least a year although it never lasts that long for us.  The garlic will turn a bluish green as it interacts with the vinegar and this is totally normal.
