Goji berry
Anyone grow or have a Goji Berry bush. I am thinking about ordering one but don't know how they taste or what you do with them. The lady from China that I play picleball with says they are really good.

Re: Goji berry
I've got some dried berries - they're not nearly as tart as cranberries. I'd classify them as sweet-tarts.
I like them in my smoothies.

Thanks, that is what I have read. My friend from China says she is going to bring me a sample to try. From the description in the seed cat. they grow to 12 ft. tall so I think I will order one and put it out with the plum trees.

Re: Goji berry
I had two growing in one of my raised beds , both were rooted 9 inch tall cuttings three years ago . One died for some unknown reason . They seem to do well on elevated hills and can handle damp and a bit of shade .
The survivor is about four feet tall and the same across growing very much like an open bramble plant.
I hope to pot it out into big 100 litre tub in a few days so as to keep it fairly small.
It will not be in straight MM but a much diluted one that has lots of washed river sand & almost double the coir waste in the MM plus some vermiculite
By the way if your on Warfarin you are not allowed Goji berries , they destroy the Warfarin's blood thinning effect as they are very high in vitamin "K" .

Re: Goji berry
Thanks for that warning. I won't be trying those. Except you can adjust the Warfarin if you eat something high in vitamin "K" especially if you are consistent with how often you eat it.plantoid wrote:By the way if your on Warfarin you are not allowed Goji berries , they destroy the Warfarin's blood thinning effect as they are very high in vitamin "K" .
